Oval mahogany and gilded bronze Louis XVI style coffee table. Late nineteenth century modeled by Adam Weisweiler. The lid of the table has a shape close to an oval with four semicircular ledges, to which figured graceful table legs with gilded mascarons are attached in the lower part. Bronze slips and linear edging of the edge of the lid and its wooden sidewalls (the waist of the table) are made with high quality casting, embossing and gilding. The tabletop is decorated throughout with a geometric marquetry pattern, which contrasts beautifully with the gilded edging of the table. The decor uses motifs traditional for the era of classicism, made in the antique spirit - a ribbon and floral ornament, flower heads, a cornucopia, figures of lying rams, girlish heads. The legs of the table are completed in the lower part with bronze overlays in the form of a shoe with a relief leafy pattern. In the front part of the table (at the waist) there is a drawer lid. She, due to the decor, similar to the decor repeating the gilded bronze decor of other sides of the waist of the table, is carefully hidden.
