A rare example of Russian artistic glass from the reign of Alexander I, produced at the Imperial Glass Factory in St Petersburg. The decagonal bowl of deep purple crystal is raised on a slender baluster stem and an octagonal foot, emphasizing the architectural clarity of its form. The interior of the bowl is enriched with a rich amethyst tone, creating a striking contrast with the black exterior ground and the exceptionally refined gilded decoration.
The ornamentation features elegant scenes of a children’s festivity executed in gold painting on glass. The figures of children, depicted in light and graceful movement, resonate with the aesthetics of the early Empire style and the sentimental iconography of the early nineteenth century. The composition is further enhanced by garlands and laurel wreaths symbolizing virtue, joy, and celebration. The restraint of the silhouette and the filigree precision of the ornament reflect a high level of artistic mastery and the characteristic synthesis of Classical decorative programs associated with the Imperial Glass Factory.

Редкий образец русского художественного стекла эпохи Александра I, выполненный на Императорском стеклянном заводе в Санкт-Петербурге. Десятигранная чаша из насыщенного фиолетового хрусталя установлена на стройной балясинной ножке и восьмигранном основании, подчёркивающем архитектурную строгость формы. Внутренняя поверхность чаши окрашена в глубокий пурпурный тон, создающий выразительный контраст с внешним чёрным фоном и тончайшей золочёной росписью.
Декор представлен изящными сценами детского праздника, выполненными в технике золотой живописи по стеклу. Фигуры детей, изображённых в лёгком движении, перекликаются с эстетикой раннего Ампира и сентиментальной иконографией начала XIX века. Композицию дополняют гирлянды и лавровые венки, символизирующие добродетель, радость и торжество. Лаконизм силуэта и филигранность орнамента отражают высокий уровень художественного контроля и характерную для Императорского стеклянного завода синтезированную программу классицистического декора.
