MINIATURE MODEL OF A VIOLIN IN ITS ORIGINAL CASE EUROPE, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

A rare collectible object — a miniature violin model in its original case, crafted from lacquered wood with decorative silver (possibly silver with niello) fittings. The structural details of the instrument are meticulously reproduced: the body with resonator “f”-holes, strings made of fishing line, fingerboard and pegs. The silver fittings on the chin rest and tailpiece emphasize its decorative purpose.
