On March 7, 2019, at the Antiqon Center for Art and Antiques, an exhibition of the famous Latvian artist Laimdots Murnieks begins under the general theme "My Life Latvia" as part of events dedicated to the grand opening of the center. The key theme of the paintings at the artist"s exhibition is portraying the spectacular views of the cities of Latvia, its citizens, and the state of nature at different times of the year, through a free abstract-realistic vision of the author. It focuses on the relationship between man and nature. The trembling growth of trees, their impetuous striving for the sun, is associated with the author"s view of the world as a single whole uniting man and nature. The contrast of winter and summer, a hot day and a rainy evening, the views of the sun, trees and roofs of the old city make it possible to expand the horizons of perception of spectators in paintings filled with endless goodness and love, created in the best years of the creative journey of Laimdot Murniek. The author conveyed in his works true love for the world around him, presenting in a completely new look the beautiful moments of life.
The cornerstone of the exhibition is contrast: more than 50 works performed by the artist in a modernist manner harmoniously coexist with art and antiques of the 17th-20th centuries presented in the halls of the exhibition center. The registration of guests at the opening of the exhibition of the artist Laimdots Murnieks "My Life Latvia" will be held by prior invitation.
