Samurai armor, Nanbandō, Meiji period. Consisting of a helmet (Meiji period), breastplate (Meiji period), protective mask (Meiji period), arm and shoulder guards, hip and leg guards. Corrugated helmet body (Suji-Kabuto), front ridge protection made of wood with two metal wings. Neck protection (shikoro) consisting of five interconnected iron bars. Face mask with attached beard and teeth and three-piece throat protection. Shoulder plates. Iron breastplate, 5 parts connected with cords. Belts in the form of protection of the thighs (kusazuri). Thigh protection (haidate), top in cotton and brocade, with rectangular wooden lamellar shells painted in gold. Bracers (kote), combat gauntlets, back and hip shields made of iron sewn onto cotton, with chain mail between them. All individual panels are lacquered and connected with cotton ribbons and laces.
