Superbly decorated arquebus type gun with wheel lock, late 17th century.

Splendid bone-decorated gun with wheellock and arquebus-type stock, long brass trigger guard, late 17th century. A shortened butt, not adapted for a shoulder rest and simply pressed against the cheek. Hunting or combat weapon of a privileged rider, designed to fight heavily armed cavalry.
