A gold coin of 5 rubles dated 1889, minted during the reign of Emperor Alexander III. Obverse: profile portrait of Emperor Alexander III with the circular inscription: “BY THE GRACE OF GOD ALEXANDER III EMPEROR AND AUTOCRAT OF ALL RUSSIA.” Reverse: Imperial Russian coat of arms — a double-headed eagle with crowns, scepter, and orb, with the inscription “5 RUBLES 1889” beneath.
